The Changemakers Collaborative Competition Sport for a Better World seeks leading innovations that use sport to improve community, accelerate development and drive social change. The competition was launched on September 17, 2007 to gather the most innovative solutions, which are discussed and improved upon online by all who are interested.

Drawing on Ashoka's 26 years of experience identifying and selecting leading social entrepreneurs around the world, Changemakers has created an online platform at www.changemakers.net to facilitate social innovators around the world as they work hard to create change. To date, Changemakers competitions have sourced over 1,500 on-the-ground innovations on various themes from over 100 countries. The competition provides the global online community with high impact solutions and provides entrants with the opportunity to access resources including new ideas, collaborative partners and investors.
