Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA UK provides a structured basketball development plan for young people (both boys and girls) by facilitating free basketball coaching, grassroots competitions, local volunteer recruitment, and coaching development. Launched on September 5th, the programme will deliver coaching every week for three hours at community projects for the Arsenal, Chelsea/Fulham, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Portsmouth football clubs.

As ambassador of the programme, Luol Deng believes “Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA will provide a positive environment for kids to learn valuable lessons like teamwork, respect, and hard work.” He later adds “Having the opportunity to give back to my community is something I cherish and take pride in."

In addition to weekly coaching, select participants will also get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a clinic by a NBA Legend on October 10th at the NBA Central Court, a temporary basketball court being constructed on the Southbank in Central London.
