The 2008 Detroit Pistons/Detroit Shock Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Skills Challenge, sponsored by SINGULAIR, Regional Competition took place on Sunday, March 16th, 2008 at the Palace in Auburn Hills. Twenty-eight (28) participants from around the greater Detroit area competed and over 100 spectators were in attendance. Each participant received a Skills Challenge T-Shirt, a Regional Competition Plaque, two (2) tickets the Pistons game that afternoon and arena food vouchers. An on-court recognition ceremony was held prior to tip-off for the eight (8) Regional Competition Champions. The eight (8) youngsters were then invited to form a "kids tunnel" for the Pistons starters to run through during pre-game introductions. Congratulations to all Regional participants!
