Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union “Pass It Along” to National Ability Center

SALT LAKE CITY (December 18, 2015) – The Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union today announced that the National Ability Center is this season’s second recipient of “Pass It Along,” a program featuring fan nomination opportunities that will reward five local charitable organizations with $5,000 each.

The National Ability Center, which empowers individuals of all abilities by building self-esteem, confidence and lifetime skills through sport, recreation and educational programs, will be presented with a $5,000 donation prior to tonight’s Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets game at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

“We could not be more pleased to have been chosen by the Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union for their ‘Pass it Along’ program,” said Gail Loveland, executive director for the National Ability Center. “We are reminded all year long, but especially during this season, of the kindness of those around us. It is through this type of support that we are able serve our mission and empower veterans, children, families and individuals of all abilities. Thank you again to the Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union for all they do to serve our community.”

In addition to the $5,000 donation, the National Ability Center received a special visit from Utah Jazz President Randy Rigby, tickets to tonight’s game, and on-court recognition.

Fans are encouraged to nominate local charitable groups that they feel go above and beyond in giving back to the community via www.utahjazz.com/passitalong. One winner will be announced each month through March 2016, for a total of $25,000 being donated to five deserving organizations.

The first 2015-16 “Pass It Along” recipient, Neighborhood House, was recognized Nov. 18.
