SALT LAKE CITY(September 19, 2008)– The Utah Jazz today announced the team will institute a new variable pricing plan for tickets beginning with the upcoming 2008-09 season.

In the new plan, tickets in various sections will have three different prices: a regular individual game price; a discounted season ticket holder price; and a premium price. The following 10 games have been chosen as premium games this season: November 28 vs. Sacramento; November 29 vs. New Jersey; December 3 vs. Miami; December 26 vs. Dallas; January 24 vs. Cleveland; February 11 vs. L.A. Lakers; February 19 vs. Boston; February 21 vs. New Orleans; March 6 vs. Denver and March 28 vs. Phoenix.

“For some time there has been a growing trend in professional sports toward variable pricing,” said Jim Olson, Jazz senior vice president of sales and marketing. “This move creates additional resources that allow us to deal with the ever increasing costs of operating a professional sports franchise. We also continue to look for more ways to add value and recognize our longtime season ticket holders and reward them for their financial commitment to the organization.

The Jazz also announced that single-game tickets for the 2008-09 season will go on sale on Monday, September 29. Single-game tickets can be purchased at EnergySolutions Arena, by calling (801) 325-SEAT, Ticketmaster outlets or online at www.utahjazz.com
