"LIFE OFF, GAME ON"
SALT LAKE CITY (October 9, 2008) – The Utah Jazz today announced the following changes to the 2008-09 broadcast schedule.
Three games previously scheduled as KJZZ-TV broadcasts (12/3 vs. Miami, 3/31 at Portland and 4/3 vs. Minnesota) will now be shown on FSN Utah, and three games that were scheduled for FSN Utah (12/5 vs. Toronto, 4/11 vs. Golden State and 4/13 vs. L.A. Clippers) will now be shown on KJZZ-TV.
All 82 regular season Jazz games will still be televised, with 16 regular season games airing on KJZZ-TV and 60 regular season games being televised by FSN Utah. The remaining six regular season games will be televised exclusively by TNT. For the fourth straight season, Craig Bolerjack will team with long-time Jazz analyst Ron Boone on all KJZZ-TV and FSN Utah broadcasts.
All 16 regular season games shown on KJZZ-TV will be available in High Definition (HD). FSN Utah will show up to 30 of its games in High Definition, with a complete schedule to be released at a later date.
KJZZ-TV will no longer broadcast the October 12 game at Portland or the October 18 game at Chicago.
All 81 preseason and regular season broadcasts on KJZZ-TV and FSN Utah will feature a 30-minute pre- and postgame show, “Jazz Live,” which is hosted by David James, Thurl Bailey and Pace Mannion.
FSN Utah opens its broadcast schedule with the Jazz’s regular season opener October 29 against the Denver Nuggets. FSN Utah has been the regional television home for the Utah Jazz since the 1988-89 season.
On the radio side, legendary Jazz broadcaster “Hot” Rod Hundley enters his 35th season calling Jazz games as he will once again broadcast the games for 1320 KFAN/B98.7 and the Jazz Radio Network. David Locke and Tom Nissalke will host the pre- and postgame shows on 1320 KFAN.
