SALT LAKE CITY (July 26, 2012) – The Utah Jazz announced today the team’s 2012-13 regular season schedule. The Jazz will tip off the 2012-13 campaign at EnergySolutions Arena against Western Conference rival Dallas on October 31, Halloween night. Utah’s road opener comes two days later when the Jazz begin a three-game road trip at New Orleans on November 2.

SALT LAKE CITY (July 23, 2012) – The Utah Jazz announced today that forward Derrick Favors will take part in Week 2 of this summer’s annual Junior Jazz road trip, a barnstorming tour which conducts approximately 42 basketball clinics covering more than 4,000 miles across four states for three weeks each summer. Week 2 featuring Favors commences on Monday, July 30, and will include the Jazz forward running 13 basketball clinics in 13 different Utah cities and towns over a five-day span.

SALT LAKE CITY (July 19, 2012) – Utah Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor will join NBC Sports Network’s CNBC Sports Biz: Game On as a guest on the show on Thursday, July 19, joining host Brian Sullivan to serve as the show’s featured “Heavy Hitter.” The edition of CNBC Sports Biz: Game On featuring O’Connor will initially air at 5 p.m. MT on Thursday, and will subsequently re-air on six additional occasions (full list of airings below).

NEW YORK (July 17, 2012) – The National Basketball Association and the NBA Development League, the official minor league of the NBA, today announced that the Utah Jazz’s NBA D-League affiliate for the 2012-13 season will be the Reno Bighorns.

Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Magic’s First Round draft pick Andrew Nicholson headlined the 2012 AirTran Airways All-Summer League First Team at the conclusion of the five-day event at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. Nicholson concluded summer league play averaging 12.8 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per contest.

The Utah Jazz’s Alec Burks, Detroit’s Austin Daye and a pair of Indiana Pacers, Miles Plumlee and Lance Stephenson, rounded out the First Team selections.
