SALT LAKE CITY (June 11, 2013) – The Utah Jazz will host a mini-camp from June 11-13 at Zions Bank Basketball Center, with 24 free-agent invitees scheduled to participate.

Following physicals this afternoon, the Jazz will hold both morning and afternoon workouts on Wednesday and Thursday. The Jazz will conduct a pre-draft workout on Wednesday, between the two free-agent sessions.

A mini-camp media availability with Jazz Head Scout David Fredman will take place on Wednesday from 3:30-4 p.m. M.T. at the beginning of the second session.

SALT LAKE CITY (June 2, 2013) – In preparation for the 2013 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz will hold pre-draft workouts on Monday, June 3 at the team’s practice facility, Zions Bank Basketball Center (1414 South 500 West). Nick Thompson (Utah Valley) and Cody Zeller (Indiana) will work out for the Jazz basketball staff.

SALT LAKE CITY (May 31, 2013) –Following several medical consultations, Jazz forward Marvin Williams has elected to have surgery to repair his sore right heel/Achilles tendon. The procedure will be performed on Monday, June 3 in Charlotte, N.C., by Dr. Robert Anderson, and Jazz assistant trainer Brian Zettler will accompany Williams.

The expected recovery time following surgery is approximately six months.

SALT LAKE CITY (May 30, 2013) – The Utah Jazz announced today that forward and 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Jeremy Evans will take part in the first leg of this summer’s annual Junior Jazz road trip, which tips off on Monday, June 3. This will mark the fourth straight season Evans has participated in the Junior Jazz road trip, a barnstorming tour which conducts approximately 42 basketball clinics for 2,000 youth and covers more than 4,000 miles across four states for three weeks each summer.

SALT LAKE CITY (May 29, 2013) – Utah Jazz Head Coach, Tyrone Corbin, has announced that Karl Malone (Jazz 1985-2003) will work with Jazz forward Derrick Favors and center Enes Kanter, as well as others on an as-needed basis. No structured schedule has been set for Malone’s participation.

“It is great to have Karl as a resource for the team,” said Corbin. “He is one of the most talented big men to have ever played this game.”

SALT LAKE CITY (May 23, 2013) – The Utah Jazz announced today that the team will participate in the 2013 Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League which will take place on the Orlando Magic’s practice court at Amway Center from July 7-12. The six-day, 25-game event hosted by the Magic will also feature the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers.

Media reports of Kevin O’Connor’s departure are inaccurate and he is not stepping down. He is fully engaged in Jazz preparations for draft season. The working relationship between Kevin and Dennis Lindsey is unchanged as both individuals provide valuable expertise, knowledge and perspective toward building a championship-caliber team. Kevin will be a member of the Jazz family for a long time. No further comment is needed.
