THE UTAH JAZZ SELECT XCO SPORTSLINK TO DEVELOP
SMARTPHONE APP FOR 2011-2012 SEASON
Salt Lake City, UT, December 16, 2011 – The Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA) have selected XCO SportsLink to provide their mobile application platform. The Jazz app, which is scheduled to launch at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season, will enhance Jazz fans in-arena and out-of-arena experiences by providing access to team news, statistics, exclusive content, images, videos, social media connectivity, promotions and more.
The XCO SportsLink solution offers a wide range of features, analytics, and technology services that will enable the Jazz to create and manage their own content so that fans can easily download dynamic and robust applications to their smartphones. All content will be available through a cell carrier or Wi-Fi network connection to a fan’s smartphone and will also provide off-line capability.
The Utah Jazz app will incorporate the latest enhancements developed by XCO including Live Photo that enables fans to take photos within the app that will post directly to Facebook and the team app. Local fans can also opt-in to receive push notifications for news, promotions, and contests.

The app will initially be available for download for Apple and Android smartphones. The aim of these mobile apps is to connect the Jazz with an expanding audience of smartphone users, which now numbers over 90 million in the U.S.
