JAZZ OVER-THE-AIR TV SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

A 40-game schedule of Utah Jazz games during the 2001-2002 season, all to be telecast on KJZZ-TV, was announced today. Included in the schedule are all four matchups with the defending World Champion Los Angeles Lakers (November 1 and March 6 in Salt Lake City and November 5 and April 9 in Los Angles) and both meetings with last year's Eastern Conference Champion Philadelphia 76ers and League MVP Allen Iverson (December 29 in Salt Lake City and February 14 in Philadelphia).

Returning as the play-by-play voice of the Jazz for his 28th season will be "Hot" Rod Hundley, joined by veteran analyst Ron Boone. All games will be produced by KJZZ-TV Sports and the Utah Jazz.

Utah's first TV game will be the regular season opener at home on October 30 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. The Jazz are then featured eight times in November, but just once in that stretch at the Delta Center (November 1).

Seven games are on tap in December, including four games at home (December 10, 12, 14 and 29) and three games on the road, two against Eastern Conference foes Orlando (December 19) and New Jersey (December 22) and the other against Portland on December 27. Five games are featured in January, three verses Midwest Division foes Minnesota (January 4) and San Antonio (January 17 and 23). February features six games, all on the road between February 14-26, four against Eastern Conference foes Philadelphia, Toronto, New York and Cleveland. March will feature seven games and April will feature six, all but three against Western Conference teams.

Fifteen of the games will originate from the Delta Center with the remaining 25 on the road. Ten of the games in the schedule are against Midwest Division foes while 15 are vs. the Pacific Division.
