Jazz Assign Tibor Pleiss to Idaho Stampede

SALT LAKE CITY (February 18, 2016) – The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has assigned center Tibor Pleiss to the Idaho Stampede, the Jazz’s exclusively owned and operated NBA D-League team. Pleiss is expected to be in uniform for the Stampede’s game on Friday, Feb. 19 vs. Grand Rapids Drive.

This will be the fourth assignment this season for Pleiss, who was previously assigned to Idaho from Nov. 29-Dec. 16, Jan. 28-Feb. 3 and Feb. 4-16. Pleiss (7-3, 262, Germany) has appeared in 13 games (all starts) for the Stampede this season, averaging 11.9 points on 58.3 percent shooting, 9.5 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.6 assists in 30.6 minutes per game.

The 7-3 center has seen action in 12 games for the Jazz this season, averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game.

Pleiss is the fourth player to be assigned to the D-League under the new Jazz-Stampede single affiliation. Other players on the current Jazz roster with D-League experience include Rudy Gobert and Chris Johnson.
