Salt Lake City – Utah Jazz Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O’Connor, announced today that the team has acquired shooting guard
Gordan Giricek (pronounced Gor-DAHN GEAR-ah-check) in exchange for
DeShawn Stevenson and a conditional second round draft pick.
Giricek has appeared in 48 games for the Magic this season and averaged 10.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. The 6-6 guard out of Croatia has played in 124 career games, 49 with Memphis and 75 for Orlando, and has averaged 11.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
Stevenson played and started for the Jazz in 54 games this season and became the youngest player to play and start for the Jazz in 2000. In his 222 career games with Utah he averaged 5.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
