Erick Green Named 2016 NBA D-League All-Star

SALT LAKE CITY (January 29, 2015) – The NBA announced today that Utah Jazz guard Erick Green has been selected to the 2016 NBA Development League All-Star Game, as a member of the NBA D-League All-Western Conference team. The game, which is to be played Saturday, Feb. 13 in Toronto during NBA All-Star 2016, will begin at noon MT at Ricoh Coliseum and will air live on NBA TV.

Green (6-3, 178, Virginia Tech) was called-up by the Jazz on Jan. 26. He appeared in 23 games (22 starts) for the Reno Bighorns this season, averaging 26.7 points on 53.3 percent shooting, 4.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 39.0 minutes of action. He scored in double figures in 22 games, including 20-plus points on 19 occasions. He scored 30-or-more points in nine contests and a career-high 40 points in two games. He has appeared in one game for Utah, recording four points and one assist in four minutes in his Jazz debut vs. Charlotte on Jan. 27.

The 2016 NBA D-League All-Stars were selected by a vote of the league’s 19 head coaches.  Players were eligible to be selected if they competed in at least half of their team’s games through Jan. 24.  They must be on an active NBA D-League roster at the time of the All-Star Game in order to compete.  The league will replace any ineligible players prior to the game.
