Lake City – Sr. Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O’Connor,
announced that Jazz forward Robert Whaley underwent an MRI today and will
undergo arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus in the right
knee. The surgery will take place as soon as possible.
Whaley was drafted
by the Jazz in the 2005 NBA Draft (51st pick overall) and has seen action
in 22 games this season averaging 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.3 minutes
of action.
