Jazz Clinch 2007 NBA Playoff Berth

With Golden State’s 113-115 loss Sunday, Mar. 25 at the Los Angeles Lakers, coupled with the Utah Jazz’s 118-108 win Saturday, Mar. 24 over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Jazz (45-24) officially clinched a berth in the 2007 NBA Playoffs.

The Jazz, who currently lead the Northwest Division by 9.5 games over the Denver Nuggets, would be the fourth seed in the Western Conference if the playoffs began today.  The playoff appearance will be the franchise’s 21st in 28 seasons in Utah.

The Jazz are the third winningest team in the NBA since the start of the 1994-95 season trailing only San Antonio and the Los Angeles Lakers.  Guaranteed of finishing with a winning record, the 2006-07 season will mark the 23rd time in the last 24 seasons that the Jazz have finished .500 or better.  They have now boasted a winning record in 20 of the last 22 seasons.

Jazz single game playoff tickets go on sale Monday, April 2 at 10 a.m. at www.utahjazz.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, (801) 325-SEAT and the EnergySolutions Arena box office.
