Jerry Sloan began the 2001-02 with a winning record as Jazz Head Coach against everyone of the other 28 NBA teams.

After the first two months of play this season, he logged win number 700 as Jazz Head Coach and win number 800 as an NBA Head Coach. The latter has pushed his career marks to .500 or better against all but one of the 29 franchises with his 2-years-and-51-games as Bulls Head Coach from 1979-82 considered. Ironically, he was an even .500 (5-5) vs. the Jazz in his Bulls tenure, but is now 14-10 vs. the Bulls.
