New Ticket Pricing for 2006-07
Team implements new pricing and amenities packages to add greater value for season ticket holders and fans

The Utah Jazz announced today that over half of all seats in the Delta Center will have a new, lower price beginning with the 2006-07 season. In all, 10,195 seats have dropped in price, including 83% of seats in the upper bowl. Certain high-demand seat locations will see modest price increases.

In addition to lower ticket prices, the Jazz will introduce a new set of Season Ticket Holder amenities that will add increased value to Season Ticket Holder packages.

“During our run in the 90’s, the Delta Center was considered the most difficult arena in the NBA for a visiting team to play in because of the noise our fans generate. We lowered the prices because we want to get that home court advantage back next year,” said Utah Jazz President Dennis Haslam. “It’s more fun for everyone – the players, coaches and the fans – when the Delta Center is full and loud.”

Next season the Jazz will have one of the most inexpensive tickets in the NBA at only $9.00 for a single-game ticket. In fact, almost half of the upper bowl - 4,600 seats - will carry the $9.00 tag. “Fans will be able to sit as low as the 10th row of the upper bowl in that price category. If they purchase a season ticket, they can sit there for only $5.00 a game,” said Haslam. “In all, over 7,400 seats will be available for $19.00 or less. Our goal with this new aggressive pricing is to sell-out the Delta Center in season tickets,” said Haslam.

In addition to the lower prices, the Jazz have significantly improved Season Ticket Holder benefits and amenities for next year. Some of the new perks include the opportunity to have tickets personalized with their names or company logos printed on them; the ability to self-select into customized benefit packages tailored to business users, families, or super-fans; increased interaction with players & coaches; new, flexible payment options; and for current season ticket holders who renew early, a concessions gift card along with the ability to request a number of free tickets to select games in the upper bowl next season.

For purchasers of new season tickets for next season, the Jazz are offering free tickets to five games of their choice among this year’s remaining home games -- including Karl Malone’s Retirement Party (March 23), Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns (March 21), Tim Duncan and the World Champion San Antonio Spurs (April 4), Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets (April 10), and Carmelo Anthony’s Denver Nuggets (April 12).

Current Season Ticket Holders will be receiving renewal packages in the mail this week. Fans interested in acquiring new season tickets for next season should call the Jazz at 355-DUNK or stop by the Jazz box office in the Delta Center. Orders are being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis for seating once the renewal process is completed.
