Sr.
Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O’Connor, announced
today that the Jazz have assigned C.J.
Miles to the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League
(D-League).
Miles, a 6-6 guard
out of Skyline High School (Dallas, Texas), has seen action in 10 games
for the Utah Jazz averaging 3.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.3 minutes
per game. He has been on the on the inactive list for the past seven games.
“We feel that
right now the best way to further C.J.’s development is to send
him to Albuquerque where he can get more experience in an actual game
setting,” said Kevin O’Connor, Senior Vice President of Basketball
Operations for the Utah Jazz.
Originally drafted
by the Utah Jazz in the second round (34th pick overall) of the 2005 NBA
Draft, Miles averaged 23.5 points while collecting 10 rebounds per game
as a senior.
Named to the PARADE
Magazine All-America First Team, Miles originally committed to the University
of Texas. At 18 years old, he is the youngest player in Jazz history.
