Raja Bell Injury Update (4/2/12)
SALT LAKE CITY (April 2, 2012) – The following is a medical update on Utah Jazz guard Raja Bell, who last played in the Jazz’s March 15 win over Minnesota:
Bell, who has been in Miami undergoing evaluation on his left knee, received a hyalgan injection to the knee today administered by Dr. John E. Zvijac and is expected to return to Salt Lake City, where he will be re-examined by team orthopedist Dr. Lyle Mason on Wednesday morning. Bell will remain out indefinitely. Updates on his progress will be provided when appropriate.
Now in his 12th NBA season and fourth overall with the Jazz, Bell (6-5, 210, Florida International) has appeared in 33 games (all starts) for the Jazz this season and is averaging 6.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists, while shooting a career-high .479 from the field, in 23.6 minutes per game. Bell owns career averages of 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 705 career games (479 starts) with six different teams.
