Jazz Launch New Theme Song

SALT LAKE CITY (January 16, 2009) -The Utah Jazz will debut the winning song in the WeMix Mountain Jam Contest as well as honor the University of Utah Football team on Tuesday, January 20 as the Jazz take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m. at the EnergySolutions Arena.
WeMix Mountain Jam Contest
The Utah Jazz, in partnership with WeMix.com, announced today the winner in the nationwide songwriting contest for an original fan-produced theme song for the 2008-09 Jazz season. D-Bizz Oh No wrote the first-place song and will be introduced at the Jazz game, when his tune debuts on Tuesday night.
D-Bizz is 18 years old, resides in Miramar Florida, and will be in Salt Lake from Tuesday through Thursday of next week and available for media interviews. He will receive a check for $5,000 on court as part of his winning package. Attached is a copy of the song as well as the CD cover.
Founded by Grammy Award-winning artist Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, WeMix.com is a fast-growing music creation community and record label for independent artists. The “WeMix Mountain Jam” contest officially began on October 15.
University of Utah Football Team Honored On Court
University of Utah Football Team
During the game on Tuesday night, the Jazz will honor the 120 members of the University of Utah football team and coaching staff on the arena floor. Jazz fans, staff, coaches and players will recognize the accomplishments of the team this season by hosting them at the game and bringing them on the floor during the first quarter break so that everyone in the arena can show their appreciation.
