Game Preview: Jazz vs. Celtics

By Matt Payne, utahjazz.com

The Utah Jazz will tip off their summer league schedule when they face the Boston Celtics tonight at 7 p.m at EnergySolutions Arena.

Jazz fans will be able to get an up-close look at second-year players Danté Exum and Rodney Hood, as well as rookies Trey Lyles (the No. 12 overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft) and Olivier Hanlan. A few other players who saw the court for the Jazz last season—Bryce Cotton, Jack Cooley, Chris Johnson and Grant Jerrett—will also suit up for the Utah Jazz Summer League.

The Celtics roster is headlined by Marcus Smart, who was taken with the No. 6 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft (one slot behind Exum). He’ll be joined by point guard Terry Rozier (No. 16) and sharpshooter R.J. Hunter (No. 28), who were each taken in the first round of this year’s draft.

The Utah-Boston game is the second of Monday’s doubleheader. The 76ers and Spurs will face off at 5 p.m.

Fans can enjoy a special FanFest—which will include an obstacle course, a rock wall, live music, a sport court, face painting, photo stations and plenty of food—on the plaza outside the arena beginning at 4 p.m.
