Coming off a victory in game 1 of the Conference Finals, the Jazz would take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series by beating Houston 104-92 in game 2. John Stockton paced the #1-seed Jazz with 26 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds all while going a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line. The Jazz dominated the backboards by a margin of 56-37 led by Karl Malone's 15 rebounds. The Jazz would go on to win the series in six games.
