Frame by Frame: Ronnie Price

The last time he was tested, Jazz guard Ronnie Price had a 41.5 inch vertical leap. That was last summer. This throwdown by the 6’2 Texan was just a few weeks ago and the mathematics don’t lie. However you figure it up, this little man can jump, a gift he’s had since high school. “I was 5’1 as a freshman in high school, so I was like ‘well if I can’t grow, then I might as well be able to jump up there with those guys.’ I would do a lot of leg workouts and try to build my legs up, but it didn’t really help me. It wasn’t until I really started growing a little bit, to where my jumping ability was catching up with me, and it all just came at once.” And his first dunk came inches ago. “I was 17 years old. I was 5’7.”
