About Last Night - Jazz vs. Warriors

Back to back AK

Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers wasn’t enough for Andrei Kirilenko; he was back for more!

AK spent the evening talking to fans, players from both the Warriors and the Jazz and caught up with Jerry Sloan and Phil Johnson before the game.

We also loved seeing our friends Burrito Martinez and Javier Morales come out and show their support for us!

Derrick Curry?

During the Golden State Warriors broadcast, things got a little bit confusing. While talking about Steph Curry’s phenomenal 3-point shooting, the graphic accidently read Derrick Favors name instead of Curry’s which made for an amusing moment for all NBA fans.

What he said

With the strong possibility the Jazz could very well meet the Warriors in the first round of the playoffs, Rodney Hood believes last night provided some valuable insight moving forward.

"We felt good going into the second half and we played really well. Up until I don’t know how many minutes we had the lead, but it is something to learn from. Hopefully we might see these guys again, so we just have to learn from it.”

Rudy Gobert also spoke of being ready if they do eventually meet in a few weeks’ time.

“They are a great team. We know that, everybody knows that. I think that we can match with them. We know they are going to make some tough shots. We know they have the MVP. They have a very good bench. We know that we have to be focused next time.”

Curry is prepared for a return

Steph Curry spoke postgame and is ready for challenge if he returns to Utah.

“We know they are a potential matchup. Obviously with a back-to-back on the schedule, we just wanted to come out and play hard to see what happens. We came out with a good edge in the first half. They made a run like you can expect at home. We answered the bell in the fourth quarter, so we know if we come back here in a couple of weeks in a playoff series we know what the atmosphere will be like to win a series like that.”

Neto and friends

Last night’s visit from the Warriors also gave point guard Raul Neto the opportunity to catch up with his fellow Brazilians, Leandro Barbosa and Anderson Varejão.

History was made in Overtime

Last night’s overtime was the 9th of the 2015/15 season:
