The 6-9, 266-pound Carlos Boozer enters his sixth season in the NBA and fourth with the Utah Jazz. During the 2006-07 season, Boozer started in 74 games, averaging 20.9 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 34.6 minutes per game (all career highs). He led the Jazz in scoring and rebounding and registered 53 double-doubles, third most in NBA. As one of five players to average 20+ points and 10+ rebounds, Boozer tied for fourth in the NBA in rebounding (11.7), ranked sixth in field goal percentage (.561) and 16th in scoring (20.9). He was twice named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week and was named to the 2007 NBA All-Star Team but did not play due to injury.
As Duke University’s all-time leader in field-goal percentage (.631) and a member of the Blue Devils’ 2001 NCAA Championship team, Boozer was originally selected by Cleveland in the second round (35th overall) of the 2002 NBA Draft and spent his first two seasons starring for the Cavaliers before joining the Jazz.
