Camp Instructors

Jan Whittaker • Clinic Director Jan has over 25 years of experience choreographing for and directing dance teams on high school, college, professional levels. She is in her ninth season as choreographer and director of the Nu Skin Utah Jazz Dancers. She has choreographed award winning routines throughout the United States. While directing Bountiful dance and drill team, they won 10 consecutive state championships and several national titles. She has named Utah High School Activities Association Coach of the Year and Spirit Coach for the Western United Jan has choreographed and directed several college "bowl game half-times". She has directed dance and competitions and dance camps across the United States

Courtney Harrison • Clinic Coordinator Courtney is the owner of Courtney’s Gymnastics in Tremonton Utah. She has been dancing with the Utah Jazz seasons and has been captain of the team for 3 seasons. She has studied dance for 22 years and has been teaching dance and gymnastics for 10 years. Courtney has choreographed for many award winning High Schools, Jr. Companies and soloist. She has taught at camps and clinics all over Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. She was the team coach at Bear River High School for 4 years. Courtney is the director for the Utah Jazz Xtreme Danzz Individual and Team Competition as well as The Utah Jazz Dancer Dance, Drill, and Cheer Clinic coordinator. She is currently the Utah Jazz Dancer, Utah Jazz Stunt Team, and Utah Jazz Dunk Team Promotions Coordinator.

 Bonnie Story • Dance Choreographer Bonnie was a William F. Christensen scholarship student at the University of Utah. She studied at Julliard in New York City. She has danced with Ballet West, and several other ballet companies. Bonnie went to Los Angeles to train in jazz, modern, and funk. She danced with Michael Jackson several times as well as many other music artists. Bonnie has done many television commercials, including Pepsi, AT&T, Panasonic, Reebok and many more. Bonnie has been choreographing movies and commercials and was a core choreographer for the Emmy Award Winning 2002 Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Bonnie teaches jazz at the University of Utah in the department, and is the director of dance at the Treehouse Athletic Club.

Anne Connors • Dance Choreographer Anne is originally from Northern California, but she’s currently residing in Syracuse Utah. She graduated BYU with a degree in Human biology, and a minor in dance. While attending BYU, Anne danced choreographed for the Cougarettes, as well as BYU’s songleading team. Anne was a USA instructor for 9 She was part of USA’s program development team, and she now judges regional and national competitions throughout the states. She helped produce the NFL halftime show for the Pro Bowl in Hawaii, she has choreographed for various NBA teams throughout the west—of course her favorite team to work the Jazz!

Amy Moore • Dance Choreographer Amy is the owner and Artistic Director of Studio 56 Dance Center in Murray, Utah. She has studied dance for 21 years and has been teaching for 8 years. She has taken class from LA to NYC including Tremaine, NYC Dance Alliance, Backstage, The Edge, and Martha Graham. Amy is a former Utah Dancer of 4 seasons. She has been a master teacher for camps and conventions across the US. is an award winning choreographer and has choreographed for many High Schools, Jr. Companies and several champion soloist. Amy is also a para-educator for students with emotional behavioral disorders at Cottonwood High School.

Brett and Lacy Eden • Cheer and Stunt Directors Brett and Lacey Eden have been married for four years and met while cheering at BYU. Brett has 10 years of competitive gymnastics experience as well as 15 years coaching and worked for UCA for several years as a Head Camp Instructor. Additionally, Brett cheered at both Ricks and BYU and is currently a member of the Utah Jazz Dunk Team and a former member of the Utah Starzz Stunt Team. Competitively, Brett has placed in the top 5 in the nation in co-ed partner stunting competitions. Similarly, while attending high school Lacey was part of a very competitive cheer squad in Texas, her team won several UCA and NCA national competitions. She has worked for UCA and has assisted with several cheer squads around the state. Together Brett and Lacey have choreographed high school competition routines for local high schools, judged several state cheer competitions - including the State competition in Arizona, and most recently are coaching the Jazz Stunt Team.

Nate Felt • Cheer & Stunt Instructor Nate served as the head coach of the BYU Cheer Squad from 1999 to 2003. Prior to coaching at BYU he has worked with the coaching staffs of many local high schools, including Timpview High School, Orem High School, Park City High School, Weber High School, and Pleasant Grove High School. In addition to his cheer squad responsibilities at BYU, he also taught gymnastic classes for the university. Additionally, he has spent many summers coaching tumbling, trampoline, and cheerleading camps. He was a captain of the BYU Cheer Squad for three of the four years that he cheered at BYU. Nate was a member of the Utah Starzz Stunt Team for the first three WNBA seasons. He is currently a member of both the Utah Jazz Dunk Team and the Utah Jazz Stunt Team and can be found performing at many home Jazz games.

Liz Claridge • Cheer and Stunt Instructor Liz Claridge, current member of the Utah Jazz Stunt Team, has been involved with cheerleading for over 10 years! Liz competed with the West High School cheerleading teams that achieved two national ranking in Florida and appeared on ESPN; as well as achieving an international ranking placing 3rd in Tokyo, Japan. Liz served as Head Cheerleader in her senior year at West. She then performed with the BYU Cheer Squad where she served 2 years as Captain; Was a UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) Head Instructor for a number of years, through which judged several regional and state competitions; and was a 3-year member of the (former) Utah Starzz Stunt Team. She has also coached and choreographed national competition routines for local high school and all-start programs.
