2011-12 Nu Skin Jazz Dancer Audition Information - Boot Camp - Prep Classes

3rd Annual Jazz Dancer Boot Camp

Monday, July 11th – Saturday, July 16th

Monday, July 25th – Saturday, July 30th
Times: 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Cost: $250 for one session or $400 for both sessions (a savings of $100)

* Please specify which session you prefer (1st, 2nd, or both). We reserve the right to change the session in which you attend dependent upon the number of participants. You will be contacted to confirm your session.

Jazz Dancer Boot Camp is a one-week fitness boot camp designed to get you in shape and ready for Nu Skin Jazz Dancer Auditions. This is a great way to get in shape and in top physical condition just like the Jazz dancers….even if you don’t plan to try out for the team.

It’s six straight days of two-a-day workouts taught by fitness instructor Neil Anderson, of GPP Fitness and Nu Skin Jazz Dancer Director, Jan Whittaker.

Jazz Dancer Boot Camp will:

* Customize Fitness Goals based on body composition assessments
* Design workout plans
* Offer nutritional coaching
* Prepare you for Nu Skin Jazz Dancer Auditions in August
* Jazz Dancer choreography will also be offered during sessions

Class sessions will be held at these locations:

* Bountiful High - 695 S. Orchard Dr, Bountiful
* GPP Fitness - 40 E. Pages Ln, Centerville

Audition Date:
*Preliminary Round on Saturday, August 13, 2011
* Interviews and final round on Tuesday, August 16, 2011
( Final 30 workout Monday evening )

Time:
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
Auditions will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Requirements:

1. Must be 18 years of age by August 13, 2011
2. High school graduate
3. Bring a 5 X 7 full-body photo (this will not be returned to you and must be of YOU ONLY). Professional photos recommended.
4. Athletic physique

Attire:

1. Half-tops or sports bras
2. Non-marking dance or athletic shoes
3. Performance-ready hair and make-up
4. Attire for interviews is business professional dress

What to Expect:
Thirty dancers will be selected during the first day of auditions. You will be required to perform a "freestyle" dance sequence, followed by one dance routine. A final audition and formal interview will be held on Tuesday, August 16th to select the final 17 members of the 2011-12 Nu Skin Jazz Dancers.

The 2011-12 Nu Skin Jazz Dancers will perform at all Utah Jazz home games. You will also be required to perform at special appearances throughout the NBA season.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
