Hello Again! April is here and it is still snowing? Not okay. Ha-ha. I am so sick of the cold weather! Hopefully the snow has said its goodbyes.

I was very lucky to have been able to get out of this awful weather! It was spring break so my parents and I decided to take a vacation to Mexico! We went to a resort in Puerto Vallarta for a few days. It was a short trip but it was so much fun! We hung out at the resort most of the time, catching up on sleep and relaxing. But one of the days we went to place where they have a bunch of zip lines. It’s called the Canopy.  Some of the zip lines were huge, taking us from mountain to mountain. It was amazing!  And then at the end, they had some animals that we were able to hold. We got to hold monkeys, which were my favorite (I have always wanted a pet monkey) but we were also able to hold a great big snake, an iguana, and a very strange bug that I had crawling all over me, even on my face! Only in Mexico!

We had so much fun but like I said, it was a short trip. I was not ready to come home! However, when I came home, I was part of a last second decision with a friend, to go to LA! So the next day, we jumped on a plane and flew to some more warm weather. It was spring break and I was not about to sit home in the snow! Ha-ha. We did some more relaxing, and we went to Disneyland! I have not been there in years! It was so much fun! I love Disneyland! It was super crowded but oh well. We still had a good time!  Did some shopping, some sight seeing.  I love CA!

When I came home, I wasn’t ready to get back to anything but the Jazz! I missed it! There was one game while I was away, and I felt weird missing it! But, when I came home, there was a game Tuesday, Saturday, and Monday. I love when it’s busy like that! And I love when they are crazy games like the home game Saturday night against Phoenix! It was intense! That was the first over-time we’ve had at home all season!  I am so glad that we won!  It was too close for my likings--I was freaking out for sure! But it’s the Jazz. They are known to do some pretty amazing stuff in close, nail biting situations like that!

I can’t wait for the game Monday! I am sad that there are only 4 more home games left, but then, Playoffs, here we come!! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, Jazz fans!! It’s March? This year is zooming by so fast I can’t even believe it. Playoffs are going to be here before we know it. I can’t wait! We are for sure going to go all the way. This is our year, I can feel it! The Jazz are on an amazing winning streak! It is so much fun watching them kick butt. I am sad they are going on the road for a while but it’s okay, they are going to keep it up!

A few weekends ago on Friday night a bunch of the jazz girls went to the UFC fight that was held at the Energy Solutions Arena. I am not sure why we went, because I hate fighting, but it was fun. I found myself surprisingly getting into it. But then, after the third or fourth fight, I got really bored. It was the same thing over and over again. For those of you that don’t know much about fights (like myself before I went) each fight goes 3 rounds unless someone is knocked out or taps out. Well, almost every single fight went all three rounds! And each round is 5 minutes!! And there were like 17 fights or something! We got there at 6 and left at 9:30…it wasn’t even half way over!! I had some friends that stayed the entire time and they didn’t leave until around 1am or something crazy like that. Goodness! I like the ones where somebody would get knocked out right at first. Get it done. That’s how I like it. Anyway, after the fights we went to dinner and then I went bowling with a friend. It ended up being a good night.

That same weekend I went to the Celine Dion concert!!! (I am such an idiot, I forgot my camera.) It was amazing! I was not a huge fan of Celine, but I totally converted. Ha-ha. She sounded just like her CDs in real life. And even though I don’t own any of her CDs, somehow I was able to sing along to every song. I never realized it but her stuff plays everywhere…elevators, restaurants, public restrooms, you name it! She’s pretty incredible and does not look her age, that’s for sure. She rocked it!

So looking ahead now, besides the playoffs starting in April, I have some other things to look forward to as well! First, I graduate college! Hoorah!!!! April 24th, to be exact! One of my best friends is getting married! Congrats girl. And then right after that I have a wonderful trip to Mexico and then Las Vegas planned for spring break coming up next week. Then, the infamous Brittney Spears is coming to town with the Pussycat Dolls opening for her and I have tickets. A bunch of the Jazz girls are going together. It is going to be such an awesome concert! Yes I admit it, I am a Brittney Spears fan. And I love the Pussycat Dolls. What can I say, they are all some talented ladies.

As you can see, the next two months are going to be crazy for me and I can’t wait! The only thing I do not look forward to is the end of the season. I don’t want to think about it. Change of subject. Of course, the play-offs are the number one thing on my mind (school is a close second. Ha-ha.) and I hope the Jazz can keep moving up in the rankings or hold on to their spot as number 4!

I won’t be in the game next Tuesday because I will be in wonderful Puerto Vallarta but I sure will miss you all! It’s okay, I’ll be back for the game on the 24th against Houston! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!

Hello! I know it has been a while since I have written, but this is my last semester of school so that is all I ever seem to have time to do! Any free time I have, I spend with the Jazz! It has been great but SO busy!

In fact, I have been so busy, I was kind of getting burnt out. So, I decided to go to Las Vegas this last weekend! Nicole on Jazz went with me, it was amazing! We drove down Friday after my last class. Thank goodness for the time change! We felt like we’d get there too late to do anything, but we got there around 9:30 which is early in Vegas! The night was still young! I love Vegas! I am definitely a night owl, so it was fun being in a city full of night owls! Haha! We’d wake up in the morning, and there were still some of the same people awake from the night before! Crazy! We drove back home on Sunday, so it was a short trip but there was so much to do, we never took time to sit down. Even though it was a break from my hectic school routine, it was definitely no break! We went shopping during the day, and out to nice places for dinner at night! We wanted to go to a show, but it didn’t happen. We ran out of time. We promised ourselves, that the next trip to Vegas, whenever that may be, we’ll go to one.

Another thing I did to take a break from school was go to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City! We didn’t actually go see any films, we just went to the activities afterwards. We did a little star gazing (we saw nobody except Michael Phelpps) and we saw a few artists perform, such as Common, Nas and Young Joc. It was so much fun!

So, now let’s talk about my life with the Jazz because it has also been pretty crazy! There have been some really fun games and hopefully many more to come! We had the Bear’s birthday where mascots from all over came and did a dance with us! My partners where Arial and the Sacramento Kings Lion! For those of you that were at the game, you know how much fun that night was! The mascots were all so funny! By the way, a very happy (late) birthday to the Bear! He is amazing! He has serious skills respected all over the league!

Along with the games, I have had some appearances too! We did a signing event for season ticket holders at the arena. Most the players where there, The Bear, and of course some of us dancers as well! Appearances are so much fun! We are so lucky to be a part of them. We meet some of the coolest people! There are a few more appearances coming up, I’ll let you know how they go if I get away from school long enough to be there!

There is a big game coming up on Wednesday. We play the Lakers. You all need to come and cheer your hearts out for the JAZZ!!! Life off, game on!! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! I haven’t written since before the holidays, so I hope that you all had wonderful ones!

My Christmas was so much fun! We had our Jazz Dancer Christmas Party with white elephant gifts and all! Hilarious! I also had my traditional Christmas party with the entire family from all over the country at home again. My sister who I never get to see because she lives far away came home with her baby and husband. It is truly the most wonderful time of the year! And on top of a perfect Christmas, my family decided to take off to Pasadena CA to start the new year off right. It was so much fun! I have a very close friend who plays for USC so it was fun to go out there and visit as well as go to The Rose bowl Parade and football game. The parade was amazing because the floats are made almost entirely of live flowers. Even the parts that aren’t flowers are made of living things like seeds, bark, seaweed, anything you can think of really as long as it’s living. The football game was amazing. My friend got us tickets on the 2nd row of the 50 yard line, so yeah, we were right in the middle of the action. And of course, my USC Trojans, came away with the victory. This was such a good football year for me because both my teams—Utes and Trojans-- won big!!

While we were in LA we were able to go and see the Broadway musical, Wicked. It was absolutely amazing and if there is any talent I really wish I could develop, it would be to sing. Their voices blew me away. We also went to Six Flags Magic Mountain and rode what I used to think were some of the craziest roller coasters around. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved roller coasters, the bigger the better. I don’t know why, but I don’t even get butterflies anymore. I think I’m ready to move on to extreme bungee jumping and skydiving.

Last but certainly not least, we went to the Jazz vs. Lakers game at the Staples Center! I’ve been to the arena before, and though nothing is quite like home, it sure is fun to see the Jazz in a different setting. Unfortunately, they didn’t win. I just have two words for that whole deal---home cooking! Haha. It was a very short trip but we definitely didn’t waste any time!

I have had over a month break for the Holidays, and I am sad to say that it is over. I’m back in school full time this Monday, but I am kind of happy also! I love being busy! There are a lot of really exciting Jazz games and appearances I have to look forward to! And, we have some fun dances coming up as well.

Speaking of fun dances, this last Saturday we were able to do one of the most fun dances we do throughout the year! If you were at the game you know what I am talking about! The Jazz girls had a dance with our dads! FUNNY! They came to practice the week before the game and learned the dance! They did a toe touch, a kick line….let’s just say they rocked the house! I know if the dads had the chance to do it again, they would freak out! Of excitement of course! Haha!!

So, that pretty much sums up my holidays. I’m excited for the new year and I wish you all luck on your resolutions. I’m sure going to need it on mine. The Jazz are off to a great start in 2009, so come cheer them on and let’s keep it up! Go Jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dashing through the season, with broken players and a broken bear!!! When will everyone be healthy again?! Please, Santa, bring the Jazz some good luck! We do not want anymore injuries! My last blog I talked a little about all the injuries, and then like the very next day the bear broke his foot and then Boozer got hurt! Enough is enough!

Anyway, Happy Holidays! I am loving this warm, beautiful December! I know that by saying that, like talking about the injuries, I am probably going to jinks us all and I am terribly sorry, but I love this warm weather and I do not want it to snow! If it was possible that the snow could land everywhere but the roads I would love for it to snow all season, but that doesn’t happen. And in my life, I am constantly driving and well, driving in the snow is terrible!! Minus that, I love this time of year! It brings out the worst in shoppers and drivers, but the best in families. Mine at least. Ha-ha. We all get so close because we get to hang out the entire break! One tradition we have done since my oldest sister was born is to get our picture taken with Santa each year. That used to be great, but my brothers think they are getting a little old for Santa’s lap. Me…never!! Another tradition we’ve had since before I was born is to get together with my extended family for a big family party. All my relatives near and far try to make it! I can’t wait to see them!

This last week I was able to go to the Festival of Trees. My mom was a volunteer on the committee, so we went and spent a day there. It was amazing to see how many trees and other things that were donated! The Jazz donated a tree, the Bear donated a tree, and so many others took their time to donate also. Many of the trees were decorated as a memorial to someone that had passed away or to honor someone special in their lives. Everything that is donated is sold. Anyone can buy the things there, then all the money that is made goes to Primary Children’s hospital. The few trees that aren’t sold are taken to the hospital for the children to enjoy over the holidays. If you have never been to the Festival of Trees, plan on going next year. Take time to read the stories of those who are being honored. It is really heartwarming.

I hope you all enjoy the season as much as I plan on enjoying it. This is the best time of year and goes by so fast! I am off to California tomorrow for a week to celebrate being done with finals so I won’t be at Thursday or Saturday’s games but I will be in the rest this month. So, I hope to see you all when I get back and have a safe week! GO JAZZ!!!!

Hello Jazz fans! And hello Thanksgiving! I cannot believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday! That came up fast! I am so excited though because I love Thanksgiving! Not only is the food always amazing, but some of my extended family is getting together and it is always fun to see them since I don’t get to very often! Along with Thanksgiving on Thursday, I have got a JAM PACKED week when it comes to the Jazz!! We have a game Monday, practice Tuesday, game Wednesday, Friday and Saturday!! Haha, it is going to be so crazy! Fun, but crazy!

So, along with being a Jazz Fan, are any of you fans of BYU or the U? Because that game on Saturday was pretty intense…not really. The U had it pretty much the entire game! I cheer for the U because my roommate is dating their kicker, but in all reality, my parents went to both the U and BYU so I am on the fence. Anyway, I watched it over with my friend’s family! Half of his family was cheering for the U and the other half was cheering for BYU. It got pretty crazy! I would have loved to go to the game but the tickets were near impossible to get! But, I was able to watch it on a comfy couch, with plenty of goodies, and best of all, I wasn’t cold at all! Haha! So I am not really complaining. I am happy that the U gets to go to a BCS Bowl game…and hopefully they can play my favorite team, USC!!

There are a lot of divided loyalties between Utah and BYU, but there is one team we can all agree on. Thank heaven for the Utah Jazz!!
I don’t know about you, but I am really feeling like we have had more than our share of injuries this year, not only with the players, but with the dancers also. Enough already! Lindsey is out for a while and Brook and Heidi both had to have surgery. They are both back so let’s hope the Jazz players can follow our lead and get better FAST!! With this crazy week coming up, we need EVERYONE to be healthy.

Keep your fingers crossed that the good health fairy is coming to Utah and that everyone will be injury free! Hopefully I’ll see you all almost every day this week and have a great Thanksgiving! Go Jazz!!!!!!

Goodbye Halloween and Hello…Christmas?? What on earth is going on? Thanksgiving is next but for some reason radio stations and Mother Nature have forgotten about it! The snow is falling, which isn’t supposed to happen for another month, and the other night when I was driving along, I turned on the radio to Christmas music!! Haha. Some of you are probably loving it all, and don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas! It is my favorite holiday. But, for me, Christmas doesn’t start until the day after Thanksgiving!

Anyway, Hello Jazz fans! I hope you have had a great couple of weeks and a fun, safe Halloween! This year I spent Halloween in California. Some of the Jazz girls got together on Halloween in SLC so I am sad that I missed out on that, but I am not complaining. I love Cali. So, even though my Halloween didn’t consist of a costume, I still had a blast!

Once again we had another crazy week! We had practice Tuesday, a game Wednesday, practice Thursday and then a game Friday!! It was intense!! Call me crazy, but weeks like that are my favorite! Even though I get burned out by Friday night, I have Saturday and Sunday to recover. Actually, if I could have it my way, we would have a game Monday, practice Tuesday a game Wednesday practice Thursday and a game Friday! Ha! What can I say, I love my job! I missed dancing at the games over the summer and I love that the season is back in full swing!

Speaking of this season, Congratulations to our amazing coach Jerry Sloan! One thousand wins? Wow. That is amazing! Hopefully he will be here with the Jazz for many, many more wins to come! Also, way to go Jazz on their 5-1 start. We’re gonna do great things this year!

This week we don’t have any home games, but next week, Monday and Wednesday we’ll need you all to come and cheer on the team!! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello again Jazz fans! Another season has started and I hope you are all loving it as much as I am! We had our pre-season games and they were fun, but now we have opening night along with the regular season to look forward too! I am so excited! Opening night is going to be awesome! You all need to do whatever you can to get your hands on tickets! I promise you aren’t going to want to miss it!

Since my last blog I have been to several appearances! Jazz players and dancers had the opportunity to go to high school football games all over town. That alone would be fun, but for me it was even better…..I was able to go to Cottonwood High school, my very own alma mater, along with Deron Williams and CJ Miles! It was so much fun being there and seeing lots of old friends and teachers, and even my principal! It was very cool to see the players interact with their fans. The crowds there were going crazy and the players totally kept their cool, and were so nice to everyone!

Along with that appearance, two weeks ago I was able to go to California to a USC football game. The Utah Jazz is my favorite basketball team of all time, The USC Trojans are my favorite football team so that was a lot of fun! I always watch the games on TV but being there is a completely different experience! I had a blast! I wasn’t there for very long because I had to get back to school, and of course, Jazz!! I came home early Tuesday Morning so that I could make it in time for practice!

Practice on Tuesday was a little different than normal. All the rookies, Tina, Arial, and I were able to go down to Nu Skin in Provo. We had dinner and learned more about the products NuSkin has to offer. They have some really great stuff. We have the best sponsor ever!

Another amazing opportunity I had was to go see Body Worlds exhibit downtown by the SLC library. Everyone needs to go. It is so cool and you learn so much. For example, did you know your heart pumps a couple hundred thousand gallons of blood every day?! I sure didn’t.

Right now, with Halloween around the corner and the season coming up, I have had lots to do! My family has a Halloween party every year. It’s so fun seeing all my cousins and all the cute costumes they all come up with! This year my family went as the cast of The Office! For those of you who don’t watch The Office, watch it! It is hilarious! My family is hooked!

To end this busy week, only to start another busy week-haha-we had pictures for our NuSkin Jazz Dancer posters that we autograph and give out throughout the year. We get them taken at Hazen Studio and it is a day that every girl would love to be a part of! We get our hair and makeup done, they feed us, and the whole team is there so we are able to hang out and have fun!

Before I go, remember—OPENING NIGHT!! Wednesday, October 29th! It is going to be Amazing!! GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
