Utah Jazz Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

The Jazz teams up with three organizations to promote awareness at November 18 game.

SALT LAKE CITY (November 13, 2009) -- The Utah Jazz is teaming up with three organizations focused on eradicating breast cancer in women: Swing For Life, the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen For The Cure.  As the Jazz take on the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, November 18 at the EnergySolutions Arena, fans will be fighting their own battle against breast cancer.   For every single-game Jazz ticket sold that night, the Utah Jazz will donate $5 to one of the three participating organizations.  Special discount tickets are available in both the lower and upper bowls for the game.

Discount tickets are available in the upper bowl for $27 and $40 (regularly $32 and $47).  Lower bowl seats are available for $71 and $86 (regularly $79 and $94).  For discount tickets, please call (801) 355-DUNK.

About Swing For Life
The Swing for Life organization was founded eight years ago when Rowland Hall athletic coach, Kathy Howa, was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Howa, Athletic Director Kendra Tomsic and the Rowland Hall softball team started a hit-a-thon raising $12,000 in its first year.  With more sports joining in, Swing for Life has now raised more than $431,600 for donation to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
