Leapin’ Leaners and Low Tops
Jazz Coaches and Players Raise Funds for Charity
EnergySolutions Arena was alive with activity the night of March 14 as Utah Jazz coaches and players helped raise funds for charity at Leapin’ Leaners & Low Tops, an annual fundraiser benefiting Larry H. Miller Charities. Guests in attendance dressed up for the occasion and dined on gourmet fare, while everyone wore the event’s signature footwear – gym shoes!
Jazz team members mingled with guests throughout the evening as they posed for photos, signed autographs, played video games and even competed in basketball shooting contests. Patrons also had access to the team locker room and could visit a KJZZ broadcast booth, where participants conducted mock interviews with Jazz coaches and players on camera.
Items sold for charity included several unique activities such as a fantasy basketball tournament hosted by the Utah Jazz coaching staff and a private movie screening at the new Megaplex VIP Theatre. An array of autographed sports memorabilia and other exciting items were auctioned off as well.
Larry H. Miller Charities was formed in 1995 and focuses on women’s and children’s issues, emphasizing health and education. Donations are typically distributed to nonprofit organizations based in communities where the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies conducts business.
