Utah Jazz, Café Rio and Eye Care 4 Kids Help Children in Need

The Utah Jazz partnered with Café Rio and Eye Care 4 Kids to provide basic vision screening to Utah children in need by providing free eye clinics on three different occasions from March through June.

March 9 marked the first session, which was hosted by Café Rio at its Tooele location. The Utah Jazz Bear was on hand to greet the public, and vision tests were administered by Eye Care 4 Kids, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to helping visually impaired children from low-income families receive appropriate treatment.

Staff from Café Rio and Eye Care 4 Kids assisted at each clinic, with the Nu Skin Jazz Dancers and the Jazz Bear also assisting at some events as well. Preselected Boys & Girls Clubs and Café Rio restaurants along the Wasatch Front hosted the screenings.
