Williams Point of Hope Foundation Aids Families During Holidays

Deron Williams brightened the holidays for several families in need this year with a Christmas celebration made possible through his Point of Hope Foundation. Sixty guests, consisting of families with mothers or fathers serving in the military, dined at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in mid December with Williams and his family.
Santa hats were donned by many at the restaurant that night as Williams personally mingled with guests and posed for photos. Families dined at elegant linen-covered tables surrounded by a generous supply of festively wrapped packages.
At the end of the evening, excited children opened presents of toys and clothing, and parents received something as well. Families left laden with gifts and filled with the spirit of Christmas.
Williams’ Point of Hope Foundation focuses on providing support and hope to those with cancer and to others who are in need. Last year, the foundation provided Christmas gifts to local single mothers and their children. This past fall, school supplies were donated to several elementary schools in the Salt Lake area, and Thanksgiving dinner was provided to the homeless.
