Jazz Players and Coaches Visit Children in Local Hospitals
Spreading the Holiday Cheer

On December 10, the Utah Jazz brought an early Christmas gift to children in local hospitals.  Jazz players, accompanied by members of the coaching staff, spent the afternoon visiting patients at Primary Children’s Medical Center and Shriners Hospital Salt Lake City.  Both hospitals specialize in pediatric care.

Eyes lit up and smiles soon followed as Jazz players walked down hallways, stopped by rooms and greeted children at their bedside.  Small basketballs were personally autographed as the athletes stopped to visit with patients and their families.

The Utah Jazz has a long-standing tradition of reaching out to youth during the holidays, and Jazz team members have made annual Christmas visits to hospitalized children for over 20 years now.
