Jazz Players Donate Tickets to Local Youth

This season, Jazz players Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver and Deron Williams are stepping forward to help Utahns experience the excitement of live NBA basketball.  Each athlete is purchasing and donating tickets to Jazz home games, with distribution focused on nonprofit organizations that aid children and teens in need.

Boozer’s Buddies, a program initiated in 2005 by Carlos Boozer, has donated more than 6,400 tickets to date.  Molina Healthcare of Utah joined Boozer in sponsoring the program last season, and their partnership continues this year.  Boozer and Molina donate 50 tickets per game.

Other Jazz players are actively involved in ticket donation programs as well.  Deron Williams contributes 20 tickets per game through Deron’s Double Team, a program created in 2006.  Since its inception, more than 2,100 youth have attended Jazz games free of charge.  Recently, Kyle Korver spearheaded a new program, Korver’s Kourt.  Through his generosity, 25 tickets per game are donated to local individuals and groups in need.

Organizations interested in applying for tickets should submit a written request on official letterhead and include the number of youth in the group.  Requests should be mailed to: Jazz Community Relations, 301 West South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101.
