Jazz, U.S. Marine Corps and American Family Insurance to
Host Toys for Tots Drive

SALT LAKE CITY (December 2, 2008) –The Utah Jazz, United States Marine Corps and American Family Insurance will host a Toys for Tots drive at EnergySolutions Arena during two upcoming Jazz home games. Toys will be collected on Wednesday, December 3, when the Jazz face the Miami Heat, and on Friday, December 5, when the Jazz play the Toronto Raptors.

Fans attending these games are encouraged to bring new toys that are not gift wrapped.  Items will be collected at arena doors by students, American Family Insurance agents and Marines.  The first 2,000 fans to contribute toys will receive a ticket voucher to a 2009 Salt Lake Bees game (fireworks nights excluded).  Cash contributions will be accepted by volunteers from those who prefer making monetary contributions.

All toys gathered during the drive will be distributed to local children in need.  Funds raised will be used to purchase gifts for at-risk teens, an often overlooked demographic in community toy drives.

The Utah Jazz has a long-standing tradition of support for Toys for Tots and is in its 26th year of participation in toy drives.
