The “Korver Karavan” headed to Salt Lake Community Action Program (Salt Lake CAP) at James R. Russell School, where hundreds of coats were provided to children enrolled in Head Start.  While there, Korver met with families and helped distribute coats to children.

Korver’s next stop was the Utah Dream Center, an organization dedicated to assisting at-risk individuals and families in the community.  A large group erupted into cheers at Korver’s arrival.  With the aid of Utah Jazz staff and volunteers from his church, Korver helped distribute coats to children waiting excitedly in line for their chance to make a selection.

Kyle Korver has been actively engaged in giving back to communities for several years.  During his stay with the Philadelphia 76ers, he sponsored a coat drive and mentored youth groups.  This past summer, Korver visited India as part of Basketball Without Borders, an NBA initiative aimed at creating friendship and understanding between cultures through the sport of basketball.  He currently donates 25 tickets to every Jazz home game to local nonprofit organizations.
