At the New Orleans Arena our goal is to deliver the ultimate fan experience for you every night. We have done our best to program this arena as the ultimate entertainment complex in Louisiana and the loudest in the NBA. We hope that you enjoy your experience watching the most talented athletes in the world.

This guide has been developed to highlight some of the features and services available to you while enjoying Hornets games at the New Orleans Arena. If you need more information, you may visit Guest Relations located by section 108 on the main concourse at the Arena. ADA Accessibility
The New Orleans Arena meets or exceeds all structural and service requirements as stipulated by the Americans with Disabilities Act. All levels have elevator access and ADA seating. Wheelchairs are available for patron use and are accessible from the North & East Ground Level entry points. A valid driver’s license is required in exchange for a wheelchair. Wheelchairs are not reserved.

Alcoholic Beverages
Louisiana Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Proper identification must be shown to purchase any alcoholic beverage.

Capital One ATM Machines are located on the 100 Level Main concourse near Section 108, ground level near the Hornets Nest and on 300 level near Section 302.

Banners, Signs & Balloons
Banners and signs are permitted in the New Orleans Arena provided they are not in poor taste, do not obstruct the view of any guest or stadium signage, nor present a safety hazard. Banners of a commercial nature are not permitted without a specific permit and/or permission of building management. Helium balloons may not be given inside the building unless authorized for permanent attachment for authorized displays.

Bee-Mail
Log on to www.hornets.com to subscribe to Bee-mail, the Hornets official electronic newsletter. Bee-Mail will arrive in your e-mail box once a week, as well as whenever there is breaking news to report. All the latest news and notes on your favorite NBA team will be delivered to your desktop.

Box Office Hours
The box office for the New Orleans Arena is located on the Ground Level off of Girod Street. Tickets can also be purchased by phone through TicketMaster or online at www.ticketmaster.com. There are 16 TicketMaster outlets in the Greater New Orleans area. Hours of operation are 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The box office is open on Saturdays for the on-sale of events & on event days only. There are 16 TicketMaster outlets in the Greater New Orleans area.

Broadcasting
Radio: 1280 Sports Radio, WODT New Orleans
TV: Cox Sports Channel in New Orleans holds the exclusive local cable and telecast rights for the Hornets.

Cameras/Recording Devices
Video cameras, digital cameras, and audio or video recorders of any kind are not permitted in the New Orleans Arena unless approved in advance by show or building management.

Children’s Admission
Children two and under do not require a ticket for admission. However, in order for a child to have his or her own seat, a ticket is required.

Club Level
A Hornets Club Seat in the New Orleans Arena is the region's most convenient and comfortable seating for NBA games. Offering first-class amenities, you will always have a premium sight line for viewing the action, along with membership to both the North and South Club Lounges. To top off this already terrific package, Club Members with multi-year contracts have the first option to purchase tickets to all publicly ticketed events via fax-back ticketing. Code of Conduct
The National Basketball Association, New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets and the New Orleans Arena are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience. We therefore ask you to refrain from any disruptive behavior, such as fighting, throwing objects, attempting to enter the court or interrupt play, or using improper language or gestures. Spectators engaging in such behavior are subject to ejection and arrest. Please report any violations of these rules to the nearest usher, security or guest services staff member. Thank you and enjoy the game.

Concessions/Dining
The New Orleans Arena offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices. Concession favorites such as popcorn, hotdogs and pretzels are offered along with a variety of other selections from specialty vendors.

Charities and organizations seeking support for an upcoming event or program should send a formal request to:

Or send fax requests to (504) 593-4207. The request must appear on official letterhead and be delivered at least four weeks prior to the event. Please include the date and purpose of the event, the 501c-3 tax number for the organization and a contact name, address, telephone number and email address.

Doors Open
All doors open 90 minutes prior to tip-off.

Directions To The Arena

From I-10, coming from the west and New Orleans Int'l Airport:
At the I-610 split, stay right to downtown New Orleans;
After the Carrolton Avenue/Airline Highway exit, take exit #234A "90 Claiborne Ave. west- Superdome"
Follow the signs to the Superdome parking garages;

From I-10, coming from the east:
Follow I-10 westbound to downtown New Orleans;
Take the Orleans Avenue exit;
Turn left on Orleans and follow it across Canal Street where Orleans becomes Loyola Ave.;
Proceed to Girod Street;
Turn right and follow Girod to the Superdome.

From the West Bank of the Mississippi River & the Greater New Orleans Bridge:
Take the O'Keefe Street exit;
Turn Left on Girod Street and follow Girod Street to the Superdome.

From Interstates 55 and 59:
Proceed south to I-10;
Follow I-10 signs leading to downtown New Orleans;
Follow the above directions for I-10 coming from the east.

Elevators
There are (5) passenger elevators located throughout the New Orleans Arena.

Emergency Exits
In the event of an emergency, please remain clam and WALK to the nearest exits, located at several points throughout the building. Please refer to the arena map for exact locations.

Escalators
The New Orleans Arena has a total of eight (8) escalators.

Eviction Policy
The following behaviors or activities will result in eviction from the New Orleans Arena:
  • Use of profanity or unacceptable language of any type
  • Possession of illegal or unauthorized items inside the arena
  • Unacceptable dress
  • Public drunkenness
  • Entering or attempting to enter any off-limit area, such as the playing surface, backstage or restroom of the opposite sex
  • Participating in a fight or instigating a physical or verbal altercation
  • Verbally abusing, threatening, or intimidating other patrons or building employees
  • Throwing objects of any type at other patrons, employees or guests of the New Orleans Arena
  • Possession of stolen tickets
  • Possession of any unauthorized banner or sign

    First Aid
    Safety of all occupants of the New Orleans Arena is of primary concern. Any unsafe condition or activity should be immediately reported to Security or an arena employee for medical assistance. First Aid is located in Section 123 - located on the North 100 Level of the facility. Contact: (504) 587-1931.

    Group Tickets
    Call the Hornets before organizing your next group outing with your office, school, team, club or group of friends. Our Group Sales department will be happy to help you plan your event by providing ticket discounts, special seating arrangements, promotional materials, and personalized services at one of our games. Group ticket sales provide various payment options including American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, cash or check.

    Guest Relations
    Guest Relations desks, located by section 108 on the main concourse at the New Orleans Arena, which provide guests a convenient location to obtain information, voice concerns and request assistant during the game.

    Honeybees
    Since 2002, the New Orleans Dance Team- The Honeybees- have been providing energized performances at all Hornets home games. The 21-member team will add spirit and energy to any event. For appearance information, call (504) 525-HOOP.

    Lost & Found
    During the game, you may inquire about lost and found items at any of the Guest Relations locations. For inquiries following an event, please call (504)587-3663 during normal business hours.

    Lost or Stolen Tickets
    Lost or stolen tickets purchased through the Hornets will be replaced with the proper documentation. Lost tickets may be replaced by written request by the person who originally purchased the tickets. Ticket holders must include exact seat location and account number when requesting replacement of a lost ticket. Stolen tickets that have been purchased through the Hornets will be replaced upon submission of a police report detailing the theft.

    Mascot
    Hugo the Hornet, the Hornets Mascot, is our number one fan and cheerleader! Hugo, a purple and teal Hornet, was born November 4, 1988 and nests at the New Orleans Arena. See Hugo at every Hornets game, on the court or in the stands.     Merchandise stands are also located throughout the New Orleans Arena concourses.

    Hornets Season Ticket Holders can manage their account quickly and easily by logging onto www.hornets.com and selecting the My Hornets Account icon on the home page. Once on the My Hornets Account page, enter your email or account ID and pin code (located on all invoices). Forward your tickets to family, friends, co-workers and clients, make payments, check ticket usage, print tickets and update your account information.

    Garage #6 Entrance:
  • EAST - I-10 west to Superdome exit, turn right to Tulane Ave. take left on Tulane to Galvez and right to S. Rocheblave (under I-10) then turn left to the rear of the Louisiana Superdome.
  • WEST - Take I-10 east to the Louisiana Superdome/Claiborne exit, and then turn right. "DO NOT TAKE THE POYDRAS EXIT"
  • SOUTH - Take West Bank expressway to Mississippi River Bridge, take the O'Keefe exit to Girod St., Take left.

    Garage #5 Entrance:
  • EAST - I-10 west to Superdome Exit, turn right, go to Tulane Ave. turn left on Tulane to Galvez turn left, go to Julia St. turn right to S. Rocheblave (under I-10) turn left to the rear of the Superdome.
  • WEST - Take I-10 to Airline Hwy/Tulane Ave. exit, turn right to Tulane Ave., on Tulane go to Galvez and turn right to S. Rocheblave (under I-10) turn left to the rear of the Superdome.
  • SOUTH - Take west bank expressway to Mississippi River bridge, take the O'Keefe exit to Girod St.and take left.

    Garage #1 Entrance:
  • EAST - Take I-10 west to the Louisiana Superdome exit, then on Claiborne turn right to Poydras, turn right (away from Superdome) take U-turn (towards Superdome) on Poydras St. turn right on Sugarbowl Drive into garage.
  • WEST - Take I-10 east to the Poydras exit, then right on Sugarbowl Drive into garage.
  • SOUTH - Take west bank expressway to Mississippi River Bridge, take the O'Keefe exit to Girod St., take left.

    Garage #2 Entrance:
  • EAST - Take I-10 west to the Louisiana Superdome/Claiborne exit to Poydras St. take right (away from Superdome), go to U-turn (towards Superdome) onto Poydras St. go to LaSalle St. take right, go to Girod St. take right into garage.
  • WEST - Take I-10 east to the Poydras exit, take Poydras to LaSalle St. take right, go to Girod St. take right into garage.
  • SOUTH - Take Westbank Expressway to Mississippi River Bridge, take O'Keefe exit to Girod St., and take left into garage.

  • Laser pens or laser products of any kind
  • Flags/signs with poles
  • Fireworks
  • Any type of food or beverage
  • Oversized packages
  • Weapons or contraband of any kind
  • Animals or pets (except those assisting ADA patron)
  • Any other items determined as unacceptable by the New Orleans Arena

    In the event that prohibited items are revealed during a search, patrons will be permitted to return to the items to their vehicle or dispose of them. The New Orleans Arena does not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.

    Re-Entry
    For your safety, once a person exits the New Orleans Arena, re-entry is strictly prohibited.

    Restrooms
    The New Orleans Arena offers a total of 24 ladies restrooms and 20 men’s restrooms including 3 family restrooms. All restrooms include diaper-changing stations and are accessible to persons with disabilities.

    Season Ticket Holder Services Booth
    Our friendly and knowledgeable Fan Experience Representatives are available to assist our Season Ticket Holders with any questions, comments or concerns. Hours of operations are from door opening until the end of the third quarter.

    Scoreboard Messages
    Guests can purchase a personal message to appear on the Buzz Vision screen. Each message can be up to 40 characters (including spaces and punctuation). For more information or to place your request, call Hornets Fan Experience at (504) 525-HOOP. Requests must be received at least 72 hours in advance of the date of the announcement display.

    Season Tickets
    To purchase season tickets or to arrange for a group outing to a Hornets game, please call (504) 525-HOOP or visit our online ticket page. Various payment options including American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, cash or check are accepted.

    Smoking
    The New Orleans Arena permits smoking on the exterior porches of the following areas only:
  • North 100 Level (across from section 101-102)
  • East 100 Level (across from section 108)
  • East Ground Level

    Ticket Scalping
    Ticket scalping is strictly prohibited on New Orleans Arena property.

    Will Call
    Guests may pick up tickets at Will Call located in the main box office lobby of the New Orleans Arena. Guests will be required to present a valid photo I.D. Will call opens at 10 a.m. on Hornets game days.
