Throughout the 13-14 season, the Bobcats are highlighting one Lady Cat each week as a Social Media Sweetheart. During the week, fans will get an inside look into the lives of these hard working ladies as they go about their daily lives at their offices, classrooms, Lady Cats practices, family outings and Bobcats games.

Hometown: Man, West Virginia
Occupation: Property Management
Education: Marshall University BA Public Relations
Hobbies: Dancing, Working out, OCD cleaning, anything active, Spending quality time with my amazing friends & family, eating sweets & traveling.

Dream job?
My dream job would be a Sports Broadcaster! I went to school for broadcast journalism at Marshall University in WV and at that time I had a THICK accent. They politely suggest I go into print journalism which I did but I still have that passion for sports and being on camera! Move over Erin Andrews!

One thing that most people would be surprised to learn about you is…
One thing most people are surprised to learn about me is I have a twin! The first question I always get asked is “Does she look like you?!” I quickly say HE does not! My twin brother’s name is Hal…he’s three minutes older, we have similar names & the same initials.

What’s your favorite memory from being on the Lady Cats dance team?
My favorite memory as a Lady Cat was my first season in, Bobcats vs Heat, lights went out, music dropped and three of my teammates and I repelled from the arena ceiling during one of our best performances to date! What an exhilarating experience!

How did you feel during your first Lady Cats performance as a rookie?
During my first performance as a Lady Cat, I was a nervous wreck! We ran out on the court and I felt there were triple the fans I imagined! I tried to keep a smile on my face the entire performance but I know I was in panic mode in my mind!

Advice for someone who dreams of becoming a professional NBA dancer?
My advice for any young lady dreaming to become a professional NBA dancer is just do it! Take the Risk! You have to step outside of your comfort zone to make big things happen. An opportunity like this could be one of the most exciting and interesting things to happen in your life. It’s the possibilities of having a dream come true that make your life interesting.

Did you play any sports growing up?
Growing up I was extremely competitive and tried to get my hands in everything! I played basketball for two years, I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, I played softball for three years and I did school and competitive cheerleading for 15 years.

What’s your favorite part of game day?
My favorite part of game day is definitely the player intros! I think this is the point of the game where all the fans get hype, players & dancers! The video plays on the jumbotron, the players are running out and we are cheering them on along with the crowd – it’s such an intense feeling!

What is the one thing you hope to do in your role as a Lady Cat?
In my role as a Lady Cat I hope to not only make the organization proud of our performances, how we carry ourselves and how involved we are with our community but also help inspire any young lady who may have a dream out there that seems out of reach. In this role, I can encourage, help develop and lead other young ladies in the right direction to help make their dreams come true as well.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
My favorite guilty pleasure is without a doubt Taco Bell! I could be possibly be addicted, and not just to one thing on the menu, something different each time!

Why would you encourage someone to try out for the Lady Cats?
Why would you encourage someone to try out for the Lady Cats? I would encourage young ladies to tryout for Lady Cats because of all the amazing opportunities that will be presented to them: performing in front of thousands of fans, international travel, community service, photo shoots, best seats in the house & of course the sisterhood.
