After selling out of 500 season tickets designated for the “Pay-The-Pick” promotion in less than a week earlier this month, Bobcats Sports & Entertainment President & COO Fred Whitfield announced today that the Bobcats will offer a limited number of additional “Pay-The-Pick” seats at the team’s Lottery Open House on Wednesday, May 30, at Time Warner Cable Arena.
The Open House, which will begin at 6:00 p.m., will feature appearances by Bobcats executives and the Lady Cats, as well as live coverage of the lottery results. The Bobcats are guaranteed one of the top four picks with a 25 percent chance of receiving the No. 1 pick.
Under the “Pay-The-Pick” promotion, season tickets could be priced as low as $43 for an upper-level seat, with the cost per game equaling the draft pick the team receives in the lottery. For example, if the Bobcats get the No. 1 pick, the price would be $1 per game, or $43 for the season (41 regular season games and two preseason games). Even if the Bobcats receive the No. 4 pick, the $4-per-game cost would amount to $172 for the season.
“The demand when we unveiled the ‘Pay-The-Pick’ promotion earlier this month surpassed anything we had hoped for,” Whitfield said. “Due to that overwhelming interest, we have opted to add a limited number of additional seats to the program for those loyal fans that will be joining us at our Open House as we prepare to find out what pick we will have in the 2012 NBA Draft.”
Although this promotion is limited, additional 2012-13 season tickets are available for as low as $8 per game, or $344 per season, in the upper level.
