The Bobcats (7-46) got a huge performance from Byron Mullens as the power forward finished with a career-high 31 points and 14 rebounds. Unfortunately, it was not enough, as the Bucks (27-28) held on for the 95-90 win on April 6 in Milwaukee.

After trailing 53-52 at the half, the game appeared to be getting away from the Bobcats as the Bucks started the third quarter on a 17-4 run. This run gave the Bucks a 70-56 lead, and forced the Bobcats to call a timeout… The timeout worked as the Bobcats responded with a 10-0 run of their own to cut the lead back to four… Four would be the deficit as the fourth quarter got underway.. The Bucks would again push the lead up to 10, and once again Charlotte responded, as the Bobcats battled back to take an 84-83 lead on a Gerald Henderson layup with 3:40 left… The Bucks made the plays down the stretch, with Ersan Ilyasova grabbing an offensive rebound and scoring the ball to help give the Bucks the five-point win.

Both teams cooled down from the field after starting out on fire… The Bobcats shot 42 percent (36 of 85), while the Bucks connected on 41 percent (37-91)… Charlotte did a great job on the glass, outrebounding Milwaukee, 57-45… Milwaukee was able to force the 20 Bobcats turnovers, including 14 of them on steals… Neither team shot the ball well from 3-point land. The Bobcats hit 17 percent (2 of 12), while the Bucks were a little better at 33 percent (5 of 15)… The two teams shot an identical 67 percent (16 of 24) from the free-throw line.

Byron Mullens had a career night for the Bobcats, scoring a game-high 31 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.

Bismack Biyombo, had a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Ersan Ilyasova was the Bucks key performer, finishing with 15 rebounds, to go along with 12 points.

"I tell you, if anyone told me he was going to score 30 points this year I would have said you’re crazy. He’s playing so hard and listening. He’s going to the offensive boards now and the four spot is his spot. He really loves that spot and he’s just doing a great job."
- Head Coach Paul Silas on Byron Mullens

"I hate to take credit after we take a (loss) like that, but it was my teammates. Kemba (Walker) driving in the paint. My teammates really just got me open for shots. That’s what I work hard on in practice, just getting open shots and stuff like that. It’s just a good day for me. I was on tonight. Coach (Silas) realized that and just kept going to me. I got a hot hand in the first half, so he just kept calling a play for me and we just went from there."
- Bobcats forward Byron Mullens on his career night

Kemba Walker (18), Gerald Henderson (14) and Derrick Brown (11) joined Mullens and Biyombo in scoring double-digits... Eduardo Najera left the game with a fractured frontal lobe and was taken to the hospital for a scan… D.J. Augustin (knee), Corey Maggette (Achilles strain) and Reggie Williams (knee) all did not play in the game.
