THE RESULT
The Bobcats went back and forth with the Nuggets early, but couldn’t find a way to hang close late in the game, eventually losing, 113-99, on February 23 at Time Warner Cable Arena®. Four Cats finished in double figure scoring, led by Kemba Walker with 24 points, while Jeffery Taylor posted a career-high 18 points.

TURNING POINTS
After tying the game, 46-46, the Nuggets went on a run to end the first half and begin the second, extending their lead to 11. The Cats fought back, making it a four-point game on three separate occasions during the third quarter, but couldn’t find the energy to complete a comeback in the final frame. The Nuggets pushed their lead to as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter, which was too much for the Cats to counter.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Bobcats shot well (45.1 percent) but struggled from 3-point territory (18.2 percent), while the Nuggets finished with an impressive 53.0 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from long range… With two teams that like to get out and run in the open court, the Nuggets dominated fast-break points, 25-13. The Cats on the other hand, crashed the offensive boards and managed 24 second-chance points compared to the Nuggets 14… The majority of the Nuggets points came in the paint, where they outscored the Cats, 66-52, and won the rebound battle, 40-37.

BOBCATS PLAYERS OF THE GAME
Kemba Walker reached the 20-point plateau for the 20th time this season and the fourth time in a row. Walker finished with 24 points on 9-for-14 shooting, to go with five assists, two rebounds and two steals.

BOBCATS TOP RESERVE

NUGGETS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Ty Lawson was lightning-quick in this fast-paced game with 20 points while going 7-for-9 from the charity stripe. The former UNC point guard also managed five assists and five rebounds.

INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM
"I would say just being able to finish and getting to the rim. The guys are looking for me on the back side. It all kind of came together."
- Bobcats guard Jeffery Taylor on what was clicking for him tonight

"It was a good physical effort, much better than the night before. So that box got checked off. We were down six at the half, playing good basketball, visually appealing as far as sharing the ball. We played good on the boards, which is hard to do against them. They have some talent there, but basically our turnovers led to easy baskets. When it comes down to trying to make your way back, you have to take care of the ball, so that’s what stood out to me. Our half-court defense at times was really sturdy, but then we’d turn it over and they’d get an easy bucket."
- Bobcats Head Coach Mike Dunlap on tonight's game

GAME NOTES
Gerald Henderson led the Cats in scoring for the majority of the game, finishing with 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting. Henderson also had four rebounds, two assists and two blocks… Bismack Biyombo nearly had a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Biyombo pulled down a game-high five offensive boards while turning away two shots… Michael Kidd-Gilchrist showcased his offensive abilities with a double-figure scoring effort for the third game in a row. Kidd-Gilchrist contributed 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and a block in 19 minutes… Josh McRoberts made his Bobcats debut, checking in during the third quarter. McRoberts pulled down three boards in six minutes.
