Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Kemba Walker (15 points, 11 rebounds) recorded double-doubles, but despite five Bobcats scoring in double-digits, Charlotte couldn’t find a way to take the lead before losing to the Trail Blazers, 122-105, on March 4 in Portland.
The game was up for grabs with 8:45 remaining in the second frame. The Blazers went on a run to end the first half and to end the third extending their lead to 17. The Bobcats kept battling back but couldn’t complete a comeback in the final quarter. Every time the Cats tried to get within single digits the Blazers answered with a big shot.

The Bobcats shot well (46.4 percent) but couldn’t find their touch behind the arc (10.0 percent), while Portland finished with a remarkable 59.8 percent (49-for-82) from the floor and 50.0 percent (12-for-24) from long range… The Cats took advantage of their up-tempo style of play and outscored the Blazers 14-7 in fast break points…Charlotte scored majority of its points in the paint and held a 60-50 advantage in this category…The Bobcats won the battle on the boards 44-41 and outscored the Blazers in second chance points (22-21)... The biggest difference in the game were points from 3-point territory; Portland outscored Charlotte, 36-3.

Bismack Biyombo flirted with a double-double finishing with eight points, nine rebounds and a steal…Co-Captain Gerald Henderson scored 14 points and grabbed three rebounds…Kemba Walker finished with 15 points, a season-high 11 assists, four rebounds and three steals...Ben Gordon scored 14 points, grabbed two rebounds and recorded three assists….Josh McRoberts had a productive outing scoring nine points and owning eight rebounds.
