It was a key game but the loss to the Boston Celtics (on March 30) may have been the end to the Hornets postseason plans after a great effort this season, We are 1 ½ games behind (the No. 8 spot) with only nine more games to go as our dream for a second postseason in a row might be slipping away.
For us Hispanics who love to watch all sort of sports on TV or live, it has always been important to us that our teams make it to the playoffs so we can enjoy watching our beloved players for one or two more games. If they make it to the finals and win, we love going out to celebrate and show off our team colors. Whenever the Mexican national soccer team wins, most of Mexicans go out to the Independence Column, where they dance, shout and drink until late in night celebrating.
Where will we go to celebrate when the Hornets start winning postseason games? Which place in Charlotte has enough symbolism to host such celebration? I believe the four corners on Trade and Tryon could be the place, but first Los Hornets must keep fighting to make the postseason. We want to be able to play more games, and maybe this time, win a postseason series.
C’mon Hornets - yes we can, yes we can!
