The Hornets advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the second consecutive year by defeating the Orlando Magic, 3-1. Charlotte split two games at home before heading to Orlando and posting a pair of victories behind back-to-back triple-doubles from Baron Davis. The Hornets won the series on the glass, outrebounding the Magic by more than 10 per game (50.0 to 39.5).
