What does second-year forward Cedric Simmons do when he’s not playing basketball? Hornets.com sat down with the North Carolina State product to find out more about his interests away from the game of hoops.
Favorite type of music and groups: “R&B. I pretty much like down-south music. I like Rick Ross and Lil’ Wayne. I really don’t like that many groups. I like Lyfe Jennings and John Legend.”
Favorite TV show: Law & Order.
Reality TV thoughts: “I love it! I watch MTV a lot. I think that it is funny and I think it is really entertaining.”
Favorite movie of all time: Bloodsport. “Every time it comes on I watch it.”
Funniest movie of all time: “[grins] Wedding Crashers.”
Time spent online per day: “[grins] Probably about four hours.”
Favorite non-basketball Web site: “Um… [laughs] there isn’t one.”
Football or baseball? “Football. Well, my favorite sport to watch is football, but to play I have to say baseball. I like watching college football and I like the video game, so I’ll say football.”
What he’d be doing if he weren’t an NBA player: “[laughs] Well… it is hard to say. I have always pictured myself to be an NBA player.”
Favorite athlete as a kid: Kevin Garnett.
First job: “The NBA.” [laughs]
