Baron Davis Activated

New Orleans (March 10, 2003) - The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they have activated guard Baron Davis from the Injured List. He is expected to play at Indiana tomorrow night.

Davis has missed the last 20 games after being placed on the Injured List January 28 (he had surgery on January 28 after leaving the game on January 24 versus Portland with torn cartilage in his left knee).

Davis has played in 36 games with the Hornets this season, averaging 16.8 points and 6.9 assists. He has missed a total of 28 games on the season (20 following knee surgery and eight earlier in the year with back spasms). Davis had played in 262 consecutive games before sitting out December 1 at Boston earlier this season, the first time he had missed a game in his NBA career.

In other Hornets transactions, the team placed forward Kirk Haston on the Injured List today with back spasms. Haston missed 28 games earlier this season while on the Injured List with back spasms.
