Back to Training Camp HomeChecking in With CP3
When you see CP3 for the first time this season, you will notice a stronger and more determined player who is ready to be the leader of his team. Chris Paul took it upon himself to urge each of his teammates to get back to New Orleans early so they could start working out early and getting ready for Scott’s training camp.
“Camp is tough and coach is tough, but one thing we will be doing in games is running, so training camp is good for us,” Paul said.
Being able to watch Paul dribble the ball with ease through defenders, find an open teammate, hit a 3-pointer and push the ball is a sight to see. He looks even better (if that was possible) than last season and the late-season foot injury is in the past.
“I have been working out a lot, after having two to three months off due to my foot, I have been making up for lost time, working as much as I can.,” Paul remarked. “Right now, I think I am as close to as 100% as I can be.”
Tuesday, CP showed up at the Alario Center at 8 AM to start lifting and getting ready for camp. By the time he practiced, stayed after practice to shoot, stretch and talk to the media, it was 4:15 PM. The good thing is that CP3 doesn’t have to go too far do anything in New Orleans. He bought a place in the heart of The Big Easy.
“I am young, 22 years old, I want to be in the middle of the city,” Paul said of his choice to live Downtown. “I want to be close to everything and feel a part of the great city of New Orleans.”
