Charlotte was able to keep pace with the Clippers in the first half, but former Bobcat Jared Dudley opened the game up with 11 points in the third quarter as Los Angeles pushed its lead to double-digits and kept the pressure on. Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson led the Cats with 14 points apiece and Jefferson added 12 rebounds to record his 13th double-double but Charlotte fell, 112-85, to the Clippers on Jan. 1 in Los Angeles.
Former Bobcat Jared Dudley turned things around for the Clippers coming out of the locker room after the break, rattling off 11 points in the first 5:30 of the third quarter to help push a 56-56 tie to a 73-62 Clippers lead. Dudley hit three treys in the run, while the Cats missed all three three-pointers they attempted after going 4-for-11 from beyond the arc in the first half.

The Bobcats shot 51.3 percent (20-for-39) in the first half, including 36.7 percent (4-for-11) from long range but only connected on 22.2 percent (4-for-18) of their shots and missed all four treys they took in the third quarter as they were outscored 25-13 in the frame… Led by 14 assists from Chris Paul, the Clippers dished out 36 dimes to the Cats 19… Charlotte shot an impressive 95.5 percent from the free-throw line and missed just one freebie (21-for-22).
BOBCATS PLAYERS OF THE GAME
Al Jefferson recorded his 13th double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) of the season and tallied his 20th consecutive double-figure scoring game. Jefferson has recorded double-doubles in seven of his last eight games and 12 of the last 17 games. He added four assists.
CLIPPERS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Despite playing with the likes of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and company, it was former Bobcat Jared Dudley who got the best of the Cats, scoring 11 points in the first 5:30 of the third quarter to give the Clippers a double-digit lead. Dudley finished with 20 points, including six treys and five assists.
All five Bobcats starters finished in double-digit scoring led by Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson with 14 points apiece and followed by Gerald Henderson (12), Anthony Tolliver (11) and Josh McRoberts (10). Walker has scored in double figures in 22-straight games, the longest streak of his career… Walker (22) and Jefferson (20) have both scored in double figures in at least 20 consecutive games … Walker and Henderson are two of only 17 guards in the NBA that have started all their team’s games this year, and join Portland’s Damien Lillard and Wesley Matthews and Toronto’s Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan as the only backcourt duos to start every game.
