THE RESULT
Behind the Big Three of Al Jefferson (28 points), Kemba Walker (26 points) and Gerald Henderson (23 points), the Cats scored a season-high in points as they cruised past the Portland Trail Blazers, 124-94, on March 22 at Time Warner Cable Arena, ending their two-game skid.

TURNING POINTS
This game was the exact opposite from the one these two teams played on Jan. 2. The Cats started the game on a 17-4 run to start one of their best quarters of the season. Charlotte made 11-consecutive field goals at one point and were paced by Al Jefferson’s 16 points in the quarter. The Cats never trailed the rest of the way, nabbed their biggest lead of 34 and never saw their lead fall below 17 in the second half as they put Portland away for the easy win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Cats outperformed the Trail Blazers across the board in this one. Charlotte shot 52.1 percent from the field overall and 42.1 percent from three-point range. After shooting 63.6 percent from three on Jan. 2, Portland was held to just 33.3 percent from downtown and 40.5 percent form the field… The Cats improved to 11-1 this season when they shoot over 50 percent from the field… While Portland stayed on the perimeter (27 three-point attempts), Charlotte handled business inside. Led by Al Jefferson, the Cats outrebounded the Trail Blazers 50-36, outscored them in the paint, 54-32, and blocked eight shots to just three for Portland… In addition to the offensive flurry, Charlotte was also able to take care of the ball, tying a season-low five turnovers. The Cats came into the game averaging the fewest turnovers per game (12.6 per game).

BOBCATS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Gerald Henderson had one of his best performances this season, finishing with 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including a perfect 2-for-2 from three. Hendo also grabbed game-high eight boards and handed out five assists. It is the 11th time this season Henderson has hit the 20-point mark.

TRAIL BLAZERS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Damian Lillard did his best to combat the Cats offensive explosion, posting a team-high 20 points on 7-of-19 shooting with four assists and two boards for Portland in the loss.

GAME NOTES
With the win, Charlotte has now defeated Portland for the first time since Mar. 11, 2011… The Cats recorded a season-high in points in a single game with 124, fifth-best single-game total in franchise history. Charlotte also notched a season-high for points in a half with 69… Charlotte is now 21-4 this season when scoring 100+ points this season, including 12-1 at home… The Cats won by 30 points after losing to the Trail Blazers by 30 points Jan. 2 in Portland (134-104). The last time two teams from opposing conferences each won by 30 points or more in one of the two games was the Miami Heat and San Antonio in 2010-11… It is the third time this season in which Al Jefferson, Kemba Walker and Gerald Henderson all scored 20+ points in a single game. They are the first trio in franchise history to accomplish the feat three times in one season… DJ White made his Bobcat debut this season after signing a 10-day contract on March 21… Portland was without LaMarcus Aldridge who was held out with a lower back contusion.
