For a third straight game in Vegas Summer League competition Tuesday, the Hornets’ offensive attack often appeared disjointed and out of sync. Hornets Second-Half Run Beats Wizards

The New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets came out of the half strong and cruised to a 70–58 win over the Washington Wizards in the nightcap of the Toshiba Vegas Summer League. Cavs Deal Hornets Third TVSL Loss

The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets 78-70 Wednesday afternoon. The Cavaliers had a 42-37 halftime lead, but the Hornets started the second half strong, taking the lead at 56-55 on an Ezra Williams jumper. Following a Cedric Simmons dunk that gave the Hornets a 58-55 lead, Cleveland went on a 10-0 run to stretch their lead to seven. Read more...

I had the great fortune (or misfortune – as my body would tell you) to recently spend 14 days in Las Vegas attending the Toshiba Vegas Summer League. Now, I know most of you will want to hear about all of the adventures of my time in Sin City, but my days were comprised of sitting in the 70-degree Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV, as I watched 12 hours of NBA basketball each day for nine straight days. You math wizards can figure out that I still had 12 hours left in each day after the basketball marathons, but as they say: “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”Read more...
